Attention WOTR strategists and Asia watchers! CSIS has just launched an exciting new program (if I do say so as its humble director), the Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative. AMTI is an interactive website that will serve as a platform for regular informational updates, analysis, and policy exchange on maritime security issues in the Indo-Pacific region. The website allows users to explore the latest regional developments using interactive maps, read original analysis from top experts in the United States and in Asia, view the long maritime history of the region using an interactive timeline, and explore relevant, annotated primary source documents through a Documents Library. It just went live yesterday, and launched alongside a terrific panel discussion on maritime security in Asia, featuring Richard Armitage, Kurt Campbell, Bonnie Glaser, and Mike Green. You can watch the panel here. Check out the website and follow AMTI on Twitter @AsiaMTI. We’d love your feedback as we build out the program.
