They also address reports that Israel had initially sought to boost former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad into power in Tehran. Hamidreza is a visiting fellow at Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik in Berlin and the author of the forthcoming book The Axis of Resistance: Iran, Israel, and the Struggle for the Middle East.
