FAQS
How do I access members-only podcasts?

The best way to access members-only podcasts is through the War on the Rocks app, available for both Apple and Android users. To listen on a different podcast player, make sure you’re signed in and head to the page of the podcast you want to listen to (for example, The Russia Contingency or The WarCast). Once there, copy the link below the show’s title in the white box (it will be in red font). Then, head to your favorite podcast player and select “follow a show by URL.” Paste your unique link there, and you’ll be good to go.

How do I access members-only newsletters?

Head to your “Account” page and make sure you’re subscribed to all War on the Rocks newsletters. If you still don’t receive them, check your spam folder. To view them on the site, just make sure you’re signed in!

What podcast players work best for War on the Rocks members?

All members-only podcasts and content are available on our exclusive War on the Rocks mobile application. Our members-only podcasts also work on a range of platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Pocket Casts. Generally, our users have better experiences on Pocket Casts. Unfortunately, our members-only podcasts are not available on Spotify.

Where can I find the War on the Rocks app?

Head to the App Store or the Google Play store to download it.

How do I reset my password?

If you’re already signed in, head to your “Account” page and select “manage your membership.” There, you can enter a new password and update your profile. If you can’t sign in, enter the email address associated with your account, then select “reset password.” Instructions will be sent to your email address to create a new password.

Not currently although we may consider that path in late 2024/early 2025.

Do you offer discounted memberships?

No, we do not, but we occasionally run sales.

Do you offer group memberships?

We are working on this functionality. If a group membership for your organization or company interests you, please email us at members@warontherocks.com.

War on the Rocks Platinum
A note from Ryan Evans, Founder & CEO

Armed with a mic, a bar tab, and more than a little help from my friends, I launched War on the Rocks in 2013 to recenter experienced voices on matters of war, peace, and national security.

We have grown a lot since then. You come to War on the Rocks not just because of our high-quality articles and podcasts, but because we create an experience that allows you to feel more connected to a committed community. We aim to be the hub of that community and give you more content. Our membership program, War on the Rocks Platinum, allows us to fund what we do, pay our staff, and invest in giving you more. The price goes up every year, yes, but we seek to earn that by giving you so much more.

The membership has completely changed in just the last few months and we’ve worked hard to add a full suite of new member content including a suite of new podcasts, newsletters, and bonus features for our members. And we’re just getting started.

I hope you consider joining.
