Episode Notes:

Last week saw a flurry of diplomatic activity between Russia and the West over Russia’s military buildup and threats against Ukraine. To discuss the current state of play in European and trans-Atlantic security, we’re joined on the Warcast by Dr. Samuel Charap. Sam is a senior political scientist at the RAND Corporation and an expert on Russia and U.S.-Russian relations. Before that, he worked at the International Institute for Strategic Studies and the State Department, where he covered Russia and Eurasia on the Policy Planning Staff. He is the author of Everyone Loses: The Ukraine Crisis and the Ruinous Contest for Post-Soviet Eurasia.
