Episode Notes:

The Balkans appears to be on the brink of yet another crisis. Among other concerning developments, Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik has warned that the Republika Srpska plans on withdrawing from government institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which could undermine the framework laid out in the Dayton Accords and plunge the region into conflict.

To learn more about the current security situation in the Balkans, we’re joined today by Dr. Gorana Grgić. Gorana is a jointly appointed senior lecturer at the Department of Government and International Relations and the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. Earlier this month, she wrote an article in War on the Rocks titled, “Why the West Won’t Do More in the Balkans.”
