Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (or AMLO) has been in Washington this week for a summit with the United States and Canada. This is the first formal summit between the North American neighbors since 2016, and comes as the security situation in Mexico continues to deteriorate.
To discuss Mexican security, we're joined by Michael Lettieri. Michael is senior fellow for human rights at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies at U.C. San Diego and the managing editor of the Mexico Violence Resource Project.
