Episode Notes:

Last Thursday, Feb. 25, the United States carried out airstrikes against Iranian-linked militia forces in Syria, reportedly killing one fighter and wounding two. On Friday, an explosion struck an Israeli-owned ship in the Gulf of Oman, which the Israeli government subsequently described as an Iranian attack.

To discuss these developments, we're joined on the Warcast by Elisa Catalano Ewers.

Elisa is an adjunct senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security, focusing on the Middle East and US national security. She previously served in both the Bush and Obama administrations, most recently as a director for the Middle East and North Africa on the National Security Council staff.
