Sino-Indian Border Skirmishes

May 12, 2020

Episode Notes:

In the last week, Chinese and Indian troops have gotten into scuffles in several locations along their disputed border. Indian media reports suggest that several troops on both sides have been injured following fist fights and stone pelting. While tensions seem to have deescalated for now, the border dispute between the two nuclear-armed powers is clearly no closer to being resolved.

Tanvi Madan joins the Warcast to explain developments on the Sino-Indian border. Tanvi is a senior fellow and the director of The India Project at Brookings, and is the recent author of Fateful Triangle: How China Shaped US-India Relations during the Cold War.
