AQIM Targeted and Killed UN Peacekeepers in Mali

In Mali, al-Qaida in the Maghreb (AQIM) claimed responsibility the attack that killed 10 UN peacekeepers and injured at least 25 others at a United Nations base in the north of the country. Two days later, Sri Lankan peacekeepers were killed when their convoy hit a landmine.
