Episode Notes:
Debra Lovette sits down with Col. Kim "KC" Campbell (ret.), an A-10 pilot who flew famous combat missions over Iraq and Afghanistan and later wrote about the experience in Flying in the Face of Fear. Campbell recounts the day enemy fire struck her jet over Baghdad and how both training and instinct brought her home. She also reflects on building a career in a fighter community where she was often the only woman, and on balancing marriage, motherhood, and command as one half of a dual-military couple.
