Episode Notes:

After Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, many Ukrainians began using their everyday skills to contribute to the war effort, as many civilians do around the world when their country is at war. Kyiv Independent video journalist, Olena Zashko, explains why she moved from being a culture reporter to a frontline video journalist and how she approaches risk, safety, and humanity in her work.

Note: Olena mentions "Francis" several times in this interview. She is referring to Francis Farrell, a frontline journalist we interviewed on a previous episode of Unspent Rounds.
