On March 11, Iran-backed militias launched a rocket attack against Camp Taji, a base north of Baghdad. Two Americans and a British soldier were killed. The attack triggered an American response in the form of airstrikes against Kataib Hezbollah, an Iraqi militia with links to Iran.
