Episode Notes:

The past week has seen several major news stories from Central America. In Nicaragua, President Daniel Ortega has intensified his crackdown on the remaining opposition to his rule. The government has seized control of five major universities while trials for seven prominent opposition figures began Tuesday. Meanwhile, in Honduras, former president Juan Orlando Hernández surrendered to U.S. authorities. He is being extradited to the United States to face drug trafficking charges.

Here to discuss these stories is Tiziano Breda, the Central America analyst for the International Crisis Group.
