About John Amble

John Amble is a PhD candidate in the Middle East and Mediterranean Studies Department at King’s College London, where his research examines the role of local context in shaping the identities of regional militant Islamist groups. A former US Army intelligence officer and veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, John holds a BA from the University of Minnesota and an MA from King’s College London.
