On Dec. 9, President Joe Biden held the first of two planned Summits for Democracy. The virtual event brought together over 100 mostly democratic countries around an agenda of strengthening democracy and resisting authoritarianism.
To tell us more about the aims and outcome of this event, we are delighted to be joined by Dr. Frances Brown. Frances is a senior fellow and co-director of Carnegie’s Democracy, Conflict, and Governance Program. She has previously served as director for democracy and fragile states on the White House National Security Council staff.
