ISIS in the Philippines

January 11, 2018

Episode Notes:

As the Islamic State loses its Caliphate in the Middle East, their fighters are likely to go elsewhere – including other conflict zones. One such likely destination is the Philippines, where the government has been battling insurgencies for many years – including a major battle late last year in Marawi. Jason speaks with Nate Moir of SUNY Albany about foreign fighters and Islamic insurgencies in the Philippines.
