A Bomb Too Far: Will Al Shabaab’s Massive Attack Work against Them?
On October 15, a massive bomb exploded in Mogadishu killing over 300 people and wounding at least another 200. This outsized attack, even by Somalia standards, has driven some blowback against Al Shabaab, the most likely culprit of the attack. Ken Menkhaus joins Jason to discuss the attack and what that means for the international and regional efforts to stabilize Somalia.
