Editor’s Note: This is the third installment of a special series in collaboration with the Foreign Policy Research Institute, “Black Sea’s Back.” On May 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin inaugurated the Kerch Strait bridge, linking the Crimean Peninsula to the Russian mainland, seven months ahead of schedule.
